Uncle Clyde was always such a “good” guy! Although we lived so far from you, when we did get to see you we always had fun. Clyde and Bud always had so many of the same mannerism’s, speech, and seemed so similar. I always thought it was uncanny! Watching your Mom and Dad play cards with my folks was always special. I would watch Clyde and my Dad speaking to each other and it was amazing how similar they were.., They were definitely brothers! Of course what would a visit be without Tracy telling us scary stories….yikes! She would scare the “dickens” out of me. My folks really loved and cherished the time they got to spend with your Mom and Dad. Dad still tells stories of what mischief he and Clyde would get into as kids…. His passing has really been hard.
Also, I read the story about the “Cabin Cruiser”. I still remember the trip up to your house and having the opportunity to ride out to the Lake of the Woods. I thought it was the coolest boat in the world! It seemed as big as a “Navy” ship with your Dad being a Captain! I remember I caught a walleye and thought it was the coolest trip ever. When I got back to Rock Valley, I bragged and bragged about my Uncle’s Cabin Cruiser and my cool cousins. You were all lucky to have a boat and such a great Dad!!
