I’ve noticed that lately I gravitate towards sit-coms that make me laugh (a lot of the laughter is at myself) or animation that makes fun of practically everything. If I listen to news, read Facebook posts, or happen to see the wrong Tweet it can twist my attitude and my day out of shape.
I’ve given up posting directly political things for the most part, because mostly like-minded people follow me on social media.
I also have never expected all people to be PC (or whatever the new term is these days) because, I mean really, have you ever been out of your neighborhood? There are a lot of different people out there, with different points of view, different life stories, etc. Thinking that they should all say and do only things that do not offend me is pretty unrealistic. Not physically abusing me or interfering with my rights, however, is a realistic expectation.
I hope that during this coming election we can actually have more people moving to the center and dealing with this very large group of people we call a country as moderates. I guess it’s either that or a bunch of splintered groups on the left and on the right with the Americans who simply want to live in peace left in the middle holding the bag, again.
